2024-25 Metro North-East Region
The Chairs of Match for Zone 9 and the two women’s Districts have developed the 2024-25 bowling program for our new Metro North-East Region, and it has been approved by the State Match Committee.
A copy of the program on our website to enable clubs to begin planning their own bowling program. The is also a summary of event dates, which aims to provide a chronological “ready reference” for Region & State competitions. Note that the documents do not at this stage include the closing dates for Region events; these will be set in coming days, and clubs will be notified.
You will see that our program provides two options for the Open Gender Pennant Season: a 10-round format; and an alternative 6-round format (in response to feedback about the length and continuity of the existing Open Gender Pennant Season.) We will be consulting with the clubs and bowlers before making a final decision on which option (or combination of the two) to proceed with. Until that decision is made, all Open Gender Pennant dates Feb 2025 – May 2025 shown in the column “Region – OPT 2” should be regarded as not available for club competition.
