Umpires Update – July 2023

Overview
In order for a Bowls official to be accredited or re-accredited within New South Wales, individuals
and administrators operating on an individuals behalf, must follow the below procedures.
Any individual or administrator operating on behalf of an individual who fails to follow these
procedures, will not be accredited as a Bowls official in New South Wales.
Procedure
Step 1
Go to the Officials section of the Bowls NSW Website (Link Below):

Step 2
Under the accreditation and re-accreditation of official’s section, find the link to the form that is
appropriate for your needs. The options and links to these forms are outlined below and split into
Group and Individual bookings:

Step 3
Fill in the appropriate form and make payment through the payment gateway on the form. You will
be issued a receipt to the email address provided in the form.
Step 4
A member from the State Umpires Committee will be notified of your application and will coordinate
a ‘Presenter and Assessor’ (P&A) in your Geographical area to conduct the appropriate course.
Please allow up to three (3) weeks for this process to take place.
Step 5
The P&A will make contact with all applicants to inform them of the location, date and time of the
upcoming course.
Step 6
All applicants will attend the course as arranged.
Step 7
Once the course is completed, the P&A will notify Bowls NSW that the individuals have completed
the necessary requirements of the course.
Step 8
Bowls New South Wales will notify Bowls Australia of the above and Bowls Australia will issue the
certifications.
